I was first introduced to Pilates at university where we learnt the basic concepts. After finishing university I did my level 1 Pilates mat-work qualification and have integrated Pilates into my physiotherapy treatment and rehabilitation ever since. When Reformer Pilates became popular I took time to understand how the equipment worked and how much better this could be than mat-work Pilates before starting to recommend it to my clients. It was only recently that I decided to try Reformer Pilates for myself. I had 2 clients that went to Pilates4U already and had recommended the studio, so I gave it a go.
This was about 6 months ago and I’ve been trying to go almost weekly since. I LOVE IT! I have felt a huge improvement in my stability, balance and core strength, especially noticeable when playing squash. This is why I’ve teamed up with Pilates4U to try encourage a more holistic approach to rehabilitation and prevent reoccurring injuries. Pilates works and Reformer is just the thing if you want a more challenging workout but still low impact.
